What does the traffic from 202 apartments and commercial businesses bring to our side streets and main roads like Amsterdam, Collins and Buttermilk Pike? All told, we believe between 600 to 1000 additional vehicles will be maneuvering around the city daily, straining fire/police/city resources.
Villa Hills has been a thriving single family home community since its inception - one of the charming and unique features that sets our community apart from all the others in Northern Kentucky. A four story 187 unit apartment complex other commercial/rental units is not what continues the Villa Hills tradition of community.
Allowing commercial buildings and apartments to be built now opens the door in the future for other developers with similar plans for undeveloped land in our city. Your area of Villa Hills could be next. We need to fight to ensure that the integrity of our city is protected today and into the future.
A small group of citizens have been financially supporting this initiative by paying for signs, mailings, informative materials, this website and securing an expert attorney to review the zoning change request and all documentation related to the proposed Sanctuary development. All contributions will help fund efforts to prevent the commercialization of Villa Hills.
A long time resident of Villa Hills, Gary Menne, will be managing this aspect of our operation. All donations will be used solely for this cause, any leftover funds will be donated to the City of Villa Hills Parks Department to help further beautify our city.
